The Neville Brothers
by Francis Pavy
Twenty-third in the series by Francis Pavy. "The Picasso of Zydeco" is how Rolling Stone Magazine described Lafayette artist Francis Pavy. And if Picasso had painted the funkiest four brothers on earth, a/k/a The Neville Brothers, he could have done no better than Pavy's 1997 Jazz Festival poster. This moonlit day-for-night silk-screen collectible captures New Orleans' first family of syncopated rhythm playing on a bed of roses under a fiery dusk sky hung with a yellow moon. This is a magnificent 20th anniversary tribute to the Brothers joining forces to form New Orleans' most celebrated band.
